This place is probably my favorite bar by my house. The crowd is friendly (not always the case with regulars in this area). The prices are crazy cheap. I don't think I've ever had a tab over $12. They have darts and some video games and a lotto machine. It's perfect on cold or rainy nights to sit by the fireplace and enjoy a drink. The service is always top notch too! *Call ahead for late night/holiday kitchen hours-Sometimes it seems closed early**

$1 drafts 3 nights a week (mon, wed, sun) $2 house shots all day everyday. .25 hotdogs during Monday night football. Apple pie shots are the best! Bartenders are awesome! This is my place to get rowdy for cheap. Atmosphere is chill.

A great low key bar. I don't have a single complaint about this place, cheap pitchers and shots, free arcade bowling and darts, lotto scratch off machine and plenty of places to sit. The food is your average bar food but this is my type of bar.

Invited to join a group at Krauss' Friday night. Nice comfortable place, marred by "music" (I use this word against my better judgement) that was way too loud and just plain annoying. Part of the job of running a bar is adjusting to what your patrons want. It was easy to see that many who were having a school reunion were unable to speak to their old friends. The bandleader was oblivious as he churned out bad covers of famous songs. TOO LOUD!

I have always liked this place. Ive gone here on quite a few occasions and at different times of the week. Never a bad time here. It does get really packed for Monday Night Football events so Keep an eye out for that. The bartenders have always been real down to earth and nice to me. The waitress is nice too. Sometimes a little standoff-ish but she warms up to ya. The decor of the place is bright with lights but also dark at the same time. It is a great winter season bar. There are not many windows so you are kind of isolated from the outside world and there is a good size fireplace in the middle of the room that gives off extra heat that adds a really nice touch. On the walls you will see old pictures of what the bar used to look like and at the different locations it has been. There are a couple other bars represented in the pictures as well. Very neat to see how the area looked way back when. I have really nothing bad to say about the place other than the food is somewhat lacking. It lost a star for that. I believe that most place can be judged food-wise by their burger but this place is not the case. I am sure some of their other dishes are good that I havent tried yet but the burger was really nothing to talk about other than skip it next time. I had the patty melt and the burger was an over-cooked pre-frozen piece of flavorless meat in between delectable melted american cheese and perfectly grilled onions only to ruin the flavor even more by using way too much grease (note i do not say butter or the equivalent) to grill the rye bread with. A friend of mine ordered a reuben sandwich and the bread was cooked the same way. The fries are crinkle-cut fries that dont taste bad but taste just like any other crinkle-cut fry you can buy on the cheap at aldi, etc.... I was sorely disappointed. But I will try the food again one day. But not anytime soon.
